Pakistani TikToker Mr Patlo Reportedly arrested in Dubai

Popular Pakistani TikTok personality Mr Patlo has allegedly been detained at Dubai International Airport during a layover while en route to Doha, Qatar, where he was scheduled to attend a digital influencers’ event. The development has ignited widespread attention across social media, although no official statements have been made by UAE authorities or Mr Patlo’s legal team.
Known for his flashy online persona and frequent live TikTok sessions, Mr Patlo was reportedly stopped before boarding his connecting flight to Qatar. The reason behind his detention has not been confirmed, but social media speculation suggests the case may involve AI-generated videos shared by individuals believed to be his followers.
Unverified online claims indicate that these videos targeted a female content creator and her family, leading to a possible complaint lodged in Dubai. While details remain unclear, it is believed this incident could have triggered the detention.
Mr Patlo’s travel was organised by fellow influencer Rajab Butt, who shared an emotional response on social media. Butt explained that Mr Patlo was initially hesitant to attend due to logistical issues but agreed shortly after being convinced.
The situation escalated when event organisers in Doha noticed Mr Patlo had not arrived. It was later discovered that he had been held back in Dubai.
In his statement, Rajab condemned the misuse of artificial intelligence to create defamatory content, stressing that such actions could have serious consequences for others. “You made AI videos involving someone’s sister or daughter—and now Patlo is paying the price,” he said.
Rajab also expressed optimism for his friend’s release, saying, “InshaAllah, he’ll be out tomorrow. I believe everything will be fine.”
