PM Condemns Afghan Taliban’s

ISLAMABAD — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed serious concern over the recent provocations by the Afghan Taliban along the Pak-Afghan border, particularly in the Kurram Sector, where Pakistan’s security forces repelled multiple cross-border attacks.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Prime Minister condemned the involvement of both the Afghan Taliban and elements of Fitna-e-Khawarij in the attacks. He praised the Pakistan Army for delivering a strong and timely response to the aggression, reaffirming that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will be protected at all costs.

Pak Forces Foil Multiple Attacks in Spin Boldak

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Taliban fighters and Khawarij militants launched coordinated attacks on October 15 at four locations in Spin Boldak, using divided villages near the border as launch points. These attacks demonstrated a complete disregard for civilian safety.

In response, Pakistani forces successfully pushed back the attackers, killing 15 to 20 militants and injuring several others. Intelligence reports suggest that terrorist elements are regrouping at multiple staging points along the border.

During the incident, the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate on the Afghan side was destroyed by Taliban fighters — a move the ISPR called evidence of a mindset hostile to trade, peace, and cross-border cooperation.

PM’s Warning and Call for Vigilance

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the use of Afghan soil for terrorism, calling it a dangerous and unacceptable development. He emphasized that all necessary steps will be taken to protect Pakistan’s borders and its people.
