PM Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Lahore, Set to Visit Flood-Hit Areas with CM Maryam Nawaz

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reached Lahore on Wednesday, where he was warmly received by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Both leaders are scheduled to jointly visit the flood-affected regions of Punjab. The visit aims to review the on-ground situation, meet displaced families, and oversee relief operations.

According to officials, the Prime Minister will be briefed on the extent of damage caused by the floods and the measures taken for rescue and rehabilitation. The Chief Minister is expected to present the provincial government’s ongoing efforts and future plans for recovery.

Authorities have already mobilised rescue teams across the province. Medical camps, temporary shelters, and food distribution points have been set up in several districts. However, large-scale devastation remains a major challenge, especially in rural areas.
