Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially postponed all remaining eight matches of HBL PSL 10 amid rising tensions along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to the PCB spokesperson, the decision was made following an increase in cross-border violations, including 78 drone intrusions and intensified missile activity from India.

The spokesperson stated that the move was made on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasising that national focus and sentiment are currently aligned with the armed forces of Pakistan. “Cricket brings us joy, but the sovereignty of the nation comes first,” the statement added.

The PCB expressed full solidarity with the families of martyrs and Pakistan’s security forces. It also acknowledged the concerns of international players and their families, stating that their mental well-being is a priority.

The Board praised the efforts of all stakeholders — including franchises, players, and sponsors — and affirmed that the league would resume at a suitable and respectful time, once national stability is restored.
