PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has admitted that the May 9 incident was a mistake.
He said the party strongly condemned it and insisted such an event should never happen again. He added that PTI had already demanded a transparent investigation.
Speaking to the media outside Peshawar High Court, Gohar stressed the importance of respecting state institutions. He expressed hope that the same respect would be shown towards parliament. He urged authorities to ensure fairness and justice.
He further said that PTI initially won 180 seats in the elections. However, after joining the assembly, the number dropped to 91 and later to 76. He criticised the reduction in seats and called it unfair.
Gohar compared the situation to autumn, saying more PTI seats had been taken back than leaves falling from trees. He concluded by demanding an end to such practices, insisting that justice must prevail and democracy be respected.
