PTI welcomes Iran US ceasefire

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has welcomed the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, expressing hope that the development will pave the way for lasting peace in the region.

In an official statement, the party said it expects both sides to strictly adhere to the agreed terms of the ceasefire. PTI emphasised that the temporary truce could serve as a foundation for long-term stability and security, provided all stakeholders remain committed to dialogue and restraint.

The party reiterated its longstanding stance in favour of negotiations over conflict, stating that war only leads to destruction and the loss of innocent lives. It stressed that peaceful engagement remains the most effective path to resolving disputes and avoiding further escalation.
