Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given the green light for the construction of 5,000 new classrooms under the Public School Reorganisation Program aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of government schools across the province.

During a high-level meeting held in Lahore on Thursday, CM Maryam Nawaz emphasised the need for significant improvements in the quality of education in government schools to compete with leading private institutions.

She announced plans to establish state-of-the-art modern laboratories in schools to enhance students’ learning experiences, equipping them with advanced tools and technologies.

“Our goal is to bring government schools on par with the best private institutions, ensuring that every child receives a quality education,” CM Maryam Nawaz remarked.

She also stressed the importance of ensuring that students in Punjab’s government schools attend classes in proper uniforms, reinforcing discipline and a sense of equality among children.

This initiative is part of broader reforms aimed at improving public education in Punjab, addressing both the quality of education and access to modern facilities. It reflects the government’s commitment to fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence for all students.
