Heavy rains and storms across Punjab over the past 24 hours have left at least three people dead and 17 others injured, according to rescue officials, as severe weather caused widespread damage in multiple districts.

Rescue teams reported that in Bhakkar, two separate roof collapse incidents resulted in one death and four injuries. In Khanewal, two individuals were injured after a house roof caved in due to heavy rainfall.

Similar incidents were reported in Muzaffargarh, where two people sustained injuries in separate accidents, including a roof collapse and a slip caused by wet conditions. In Sargodha, a collapsing wall injured one person and killed livestock.

In Taunsa, five people were injured when a hotel shed collapsed, while additional roof collapse incidents in the area claimed one life and injured two others. Meanwhile, in Toba Tek Singh, a person died after receiving an electric shock from a pole, and another individual was injured in a slip-and-fall incident in Chiniot.

Weather Becomes Pleasant Across Lahore, Punjab, and KP After Rain

All injured individuals were provided immediate medical assistance and shifted to nearby hospitals.

Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department had forecast widespread rain and thunderstorms across several regions, warning of possible flash floods in vulnerable areas.

In a separate incident, a passenger bus overturned on the M-3 motorway near Nankana Sahib, killing three people and injuring 26 others. Rescue officials confirmed that most injured passengers are stable, while two remain in critical condition.

Authorities have urged citizens to take precautionary measures as severe weather conditions persist.
