Saudi oil supply hit after attacks on key energy facilities

Saudi Arabia’s energy sector has suffered significant disruptions following recent attacks on key oil and gas facilities, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The report stated that multiple energy projects across the country were affected, leading to a noticeable decline in oil and gas production as well as distribution. A major oil pumping station was hit, disrupting the transportation of approximately 700,000 barrels per day.
Further damage was reported at major oil fields, including Manifa Oil Field and Khurais Oil Field, where combined production dropped by around 300,000 barrels per day. Overall, Saudi Arabia’s oil production capacity has decreased by nearly 600,000 barrels per day as a result of the attacks.

The report also highlighted the impact on major refining and processing facilities, including plants in Jubail, Ras Tanura, Yanbu, and Riyadh. Damage to these facilities has disrupted oil supply to global markets, raising concerns about energy security.
In addition, a fire broke out at processing plants in Juaymah, affecting exports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The incident also resulted in casualties, with one security personnel killed and seven Saudi citizens injured.
Saudi media warned that continued attacks could further destabilize global oil supply, potentially impacting international energy prices and markets.
The situation is being closely monitored as authorities assess the damage and work to restore normal production levels. Analysts fear that prolonged disruptions in Saudi Arabia, one of the world’s leading oil producers, could have far-reaching consequences for the global economy.
