Second phase of hostage exchange completed: 200 Palestinians freed for four Israeli women

The second phase of the hostage release under the Gaza ceasefire agreement has been completed. In exchange for four Israeli women, Israel released 200 Palestinians. Palestinian prisoners were warmly welcomed in Ramallah.

At the time of their release, the Israeli women appeared happy. They waved goodbye to the Palestinian crowd while standing on stage. Hamas also gave the Israeli women gifts.

The Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli jails were transported to Ramallah by buses, where a celebratory atmosphere prevailed. Many Palestinians became emotional as they reunited with their loved ones after years. The release of the hostages was carried out under the supervision of the Red Crescent organization.

In the first phase of the hostage release, three Israeli female soldiers were freed in exchange for the release of ninety Palestinians.
