In a major development, TikToker Samiya Hijab and suspect Hassan Zahid have reportedly reached a settlement. However, the agreement could not be formally presented in court. The bail hearing for Hassan Zahid was adjourned due to Samiya’s absence. The hearing will resume on September 15 at the District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad. Notices were issued to all parties involved during Saturday’s proceedings.
Hassan Zahid has filed bail applications in both cases against him. These applications were heard by Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmood Chaudhry. Despite the hearing, Samiya Hijab did not appear in court, causing the adjournment. The settlement is expected to be recorded once the court resumes the hearing. Samiya is also expected to file her affidavit and record her statement then.
According to sources, the settlement involves Samiya agreeing to file her affidavit in court. The agreement could not be submitted earlier because no formal hearing took place. The case remains under judicial review, and the next session will decide the next steps. This settlement brings hope for a resolution in the ongoing legal battle. Authorities will await the formal recording of the settlement.
The suspect, Hassan Zahid, faces multiple charges from the Shalimar Police. These include kidnapping, issuing threats, and other related offenses. Samiya had earlier accused Zahid of attempting to kidnap her after she rejected his marriage proposal. She also claimed that Zahid had been threatening her for the last three months. Her complaint gained widespread attention after she shared a video statement on social media.
In the video, Samiya described how Zahid tried to abduct her outside her home. She claimed he snatched her phone and forced her towards his car. Following her complaint, Islamabad Police arrested Zahid promptly. The police registered cases under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. Investigators are collecting more evidence, including CCTV footage, to ensure justice. Police have assured strict legal action to protect the influencer’s safety.
