Sindh Government Denies Withdrawing Security from MQM Leaders

KARACHI – The Sindh government has rejected claims by MQM leaders about the withdrawal of their security. Spokesperson Sumeta Afzal Syed called the allegations false and intended as negative political propaganda. She clarified that security has not been withdrawn from any MQM minister or party member. Officials emphasized that eligible individuals continue to receive full protection under the law.
Syed highlighted that the allegations aim to create unnecessary confusion and tension. She stressed that all security arrangements remain in place according to established protocols. Government sources said security facilities are fully operational and compliant with legal requirements. The spokesperson called on political parties to avoid spreading misinformation.
The Sindh government confirmed that all MQM leaders eligible for protection continue to receive it. Security is being provided in line with government regulations and standard operating procedures. Officials reiterated that no changes have been made to existing arrangements. Observers said the statement aims to reassure both the public and political stakeholders.

The clarification came after MQM Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal criticized the Sindh government. Kamal alleged that security withdrawal was intended to intimidate the party and silence its political voices.
