Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has categorically stated that no group will be allowed to stage protests at D-Chowk, emphasising that attempts to seize control of the city will not be tolerated. Speaking to the media in Islamabad, the minister highlighted the government’s stance on maintaining public order amid political tensions.

“We have offered the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) the option to hold their protest in Sangjani, but we have not received a response yet,” said Naqvi. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety and preventing disruption in the capital.

The minister warned that if the situation escalates beyond control, the government would not hesitate to impose curfew or take other significant measures to restore order. “We are prepared to take necessary steps to protect the city and its citizens,” he added.
