UK Announces Over One Billion Rupees in Emergency Aid for Pakistan’s Flood Victims

The United Kingdom has pledged emergency assistance of more than one billion rupees to support flood-affected communities in Pakistan.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott made the announcement during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. She expressed the UK’s solidarity with Pakistan in light of the devastation caused by monsoon rains and recent flooding.
The High Commissioner confirmed that Britain will provide £3 million in emergency aid, along with additional humanitarian support to help affected families recover.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar thanked the British government for its timely support, noting that the assistance will bring much-needed relief to the victims of the disaster.
The meeting also covered bilateral relations, the importance of high-level engagements, and a detailed exchange of views on the regional situation.
