USCIS Warns Visa Holders: Green Cards Can Be Revoked for Breaking U.S. Laws

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued a strong reminder to green card holders and visa recipients that living in the United States is a privilege that comes with responsibilities.

In a recent post on social media platform X, the agency warned that any individual found violating U.S. laws, particularly those promoting violence or supporting terrorism, risks losing their visa or permanent resident status.

“Receiving a visa or green card is a privilege, not a right,” USCIS stated. “If you promote violence, support terrorist activities, or encourage others to do the same, you are no longer eligible to stay in the United States.”
