75-Year-Old Man in Uttar Pradesh Marries 35-Year-Old Woman, Dies the Next Day

A bizarre incident has been reported from Kachmach village in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a 75-year-old man passed away just a day after marrying a 35-year-old woman.

According to Indian media, the deceased, identified as Sangram, had lost his first wife a year earlier and had been living alone since then. He had no children from his first marriage and earned his livelihood through farming.

Despite opposition from relatives, Sangram insisted on remarrying and tied the knot with Manbhawati, a resident of Jalalpur, on September 29. The marriage was first registered in court and later solemnized with traditional rituals at a local temple.

The bride, Manbhawati, stated that her husband had assured her he would take responsibility for the household and care for her children.

However, just a day after the wedding, Sangram’s health deteriorated suddenly. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Family members later performed his last rites, while locals have questioned whether police should conduct an inquiry or post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
