After Pakistan’s thrilling win over Sri Lanka in the first ODI, fast bowler Haris Rauf expressed that winning matches for the country is his ultimate goal, regardless of format or conditions.

Speaking to the media, Rauf admitted that bowling in cold weather is challenging, but emphasized that he always tries to give his best for the team.

The pacer also addressed criticism from fans, noting that people often forget consistent performances and focus only on one bad game.

“People think players are robots. We’re human beings — mistakes can happen. But I always believe in myself and try to bounce back stronger,” Rauf said.

He further added that if given a chance to represent Pakistan in Test cricket, he is fully ready and eager to take the field.

Fans were disappointed and expressed their anger online. Many questioned why Haris Rauf was trusted with the final over despite not performing well in previous matches too.

Sports journalist Faizan Lakhani wrote, “The difference was Haris Rauf,” while another fan pointed out that none of the other bowlers had an economy over 7, but Haris gave runs at an economy of 13.
