Key Militant Leader Aamir Sohail Alias Molvi Haider Arrested

In a major development, security forces have arrested key militant leader Aamir Sohail, also known as Molvi Haider. The arrest marks a significant step in counterterrorism efforts. Authorities confirmed that he made several important revelations during interrogation.
Meanwhile, the suspect admitted that he joined the group due to misleading propaganda against Pakistan. He stated that he later received militant training in Afghanistan’s Paktika Province. According to his statement, the group operates organized training centers in the region.
Furthermore, Aamir Sohail claimed that these centers had support from the Afghan Taliban. He also alleged links with other militant organizations such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda. He added that foreign funding and assistance played a role in their operations.

In addition, the suspect confessed involvement in attacks on security forces in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Mianwali. He revealed that he was part of a group of more than 20 militants, including Afghan nationals. Authorities said these admissions could help ongoing investigations.
