Various Motorway Sections Closed Due to Dense Fog

Dense fog continued to disrupt daily life across major cities of Pakistan on Tuesday. Visibility dropped sharply, causing serious problems for road users. As a result, authorities closed several motorway sections to prevent accidents.
According to a Motorway spokesperson, thick fog badly affected traffic flow in many areas. Motorway M2 from Lahore to Hiran Minar remained closed for all traffic. Similarly, Motorway M3 from Lahore to Darkhana was also shut.
Meanwhile, authorities closed Motorway M4 from Faisalabad to Multan due to poor visibility. Motorway M5 sections from Multan to Zahir Pir and Guddu to Rohri were also closed. In addition, Motorway M11 from Lahore to Sialkot remained inaccessible.
Motorway Police advised travelers to use roads only between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. They urged drivers to use the GT Road as an alternative route. Moreover, officials asked motorists to drive slowly and use fog lights.
Furthermore, Motorway Police requested people to avoid unnecessary travel and stay home. Dense fog also disrupted traffic on National Highways with visibility as low as zero meters. For assistance, motorists can contact the NHMP helpline at 130.
