Dense Fog Continues to Disrupt Travel in Punjab

Dense fog continues to affect several areas of Punjab, leading authorities to close multiple highways for safety. Reduced visibility has created dangerous driving conditions, and Punjab fog disrupts motorways in several key locations, prompting officials to advise motorists to avoid unnecessary travel.

Motorways M-2, M-3, M-4, and M-5 have been closed at various points. M-2 from Thokar Niaz Beg to Harran Minar, M-3 from Faizpur Junction to Jaranwala, and M-4 from Sher Shah to Pindi Bhattian have been temporarily shut. Additionally, M-4 from Gojra to Multan and M-5 from Multan to Zahid Pir are also closed.

According to motorway police spokespersons, fog has heavily affected national highways in Manga Mandi, Pattoki, Okara, Sahiwal, Chichawatni, and Mian Channu. Drivers are experiencing limited visibility, making travel extremely risky in these areas.

Other affected cities include Khanewal, Multan, Basti Malook, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Ahmad Pur Sharqia, Rahim Yar Khan, and Sadiqabad, where fog continues to cover roads and surrounding areas. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and updating motorists regularly.

Motorway police have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and follow safety guidelines. The ongoing Punjab fog disrupts motorways highlights the risks of winter driving conditions and emphasizes the need for caution on all affected routes.
