CTD Operation in Shangla Killed 3 Militants, 3 Police Dead

PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a targeted operation in Kabal Gram, Shangla district, eliminating three militants, officials said. The slain terrorists belonged to the banned group Fitna al-Khawarij. Among them was key commander Noor Islam, also known as Salman. The operation aimed to dismantle the network and prevent attacks on civilians. Local police and elite forces coordinated closely during the mission.

The militants had taken shelter in mountainous caves, making the operation highly challenging. They opened fire as security forces approached, triggering a fierce gunfight.
