RAWALPINDI – Pakistan’s security forces killed 15 Indian-sponsored terrorists in two separate operations in Balochistan on 5 March 2026. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the operations and said they targeted militants actively involved in terrorism. The operations were intelligence-based and aimed to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the region.

The first operation took place in Harnai district. Security forces tracked the presence of militants and engaged their hideout effectively. After intense engagement, twelve Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site.

The second operation was conducted in Basima district. Security forces used mixed-caliber weapons to engage the terrorists after confirming their presence. Three militants were killed following a heavy exchange of fire. Authorities recovered weapons and explosives, preventing further attacks.

Sanitization operations are ongoing to locate and eliminate any remaining terrorists in these areas. Security forces are committed to removing threats and ensuring public safety. The operations form part of a broader counterterrorism strategy in Balochistan.

ISPR stated that the counterterrorism campaign is part of the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The statement emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces will continue relentless efforts to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
