Pakistan Railways Sets New Reservation Office Hours in Ramazan

LAHORE – Pakistan Railways has announced new timings for reservation offices during the holy month of Ramazan. The revised schedule has come into effect from today. Authorities said the change aims to facilitate passengers and railway staff during the fasting month.

According to a notification issued by Pakistan Railways, reservation offices will operate with extended hours. The offices will remain open continuously from 8:00 am until 12:00 midnight. Officials said the schedule will help passengers book tickets more conveniently.

Railway authorities explained that the decision was taken to provide ease for travelers. Passengers can now obtain train tickets at times that suit their travel plans. This change is expected to reduce rush during peak hours.

However, reservation offices will observe a 45-minute break during Iftar each day. Additionally, offices will close from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Fridays. This break will allow staff and passengers to offer Friday prayers.

Officials advised citizens to plan their journeys according to the new schedule. They urged passengers to check timings before visiting reservation offices. The railway department hopes the revised timings will improve service during Ramazan.
