Turkey Condemns Attacks on Schools and Hospitals in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that a “bloodthirsty network” is targeting schools and hospitals not only in Gaza but now also in Iran and Lebanon. Speaking at an Iftar dinner at Istanbul University, he described the attacks as a humanitarian crisis. He emphasized that bloodthirsty attacks on schools and hospitals violate human values and dignity, and Turkey stands for protecting human life and promoting diplomacy.
During his speech, Erdogan said that the world has witnessed scenes where civilian lives were disregarded. Children in schools, infants in hospital nurseries, and ordinary citizens have been subjected to bombings and attacks in conflict zones.
He specifically highlighted Gaza, saying that during the war there, doctors, nurses, and medical staff were deliberately targeted. Nearly 1,700 healthcare workers were killed as a result of what he called “state terrorism” by Israel, demonstrating the extreme human cost of the conflict.

Erdogan stressed that Turkey’s position on regional crises is based not on geopolitical or economic interests but on human values and justice. He said that Turkey advocates dialogue and diplomacy to resolve conflicts, promoting a moral and humanitarian approach rather than one driven by oil, gold, natural gas, or minerals.
He concluded by reiterating that Turkey will maintain its commitment to human dignity and compassion. Erdogan emphasized that bloodthirsty attacks on schools and hospitals must be condemned globally, and international efforts should focus on protecting civilians and ensuring justice.
