Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of Iran, has said that Iran has never requested a ceasefire from the United States. In an interview with American media, he stated that Iran is prepared to defend itself for as long as necessary. He clearly emphasized that Iran never asked the US for a ceasefire and will continue to stand firm in protecting its people.

Araghchi explained that Iran has not shown any desire to start negotiations with the United States at this time. According to him, there has been no request from Iran for talks or diplomatic discussions related to ending the conflict.

He also stated that Iran is not ready for a ceasefire or negotiations. The foreign minister said the country will remain prepared to defend itself for as long as required and will continue this stance until the U.S. leadership understands that the war is illegal.

Araghchi added that Iran remains strong and stable, and its actions are only meant to defend its citizens. He also said Iran does not see any reason to hold talks with the United States because past experiences with negotiations have not been positive.

Meanwhile, Araghchi mentioned that several countries have contacted Iran regarding passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Earlier, Donald Trump claimed that Iran wants to make a deal, but he said he is not ready for an agreement yet because the conditions are not suitable. Despite such claims, Araghchi repeated that Iran never asked the US for a ceasefire.
