Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed has made a big jump in the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings. He climbed 12 spots to reach fourth place, now holding 703 rating points. His recent strong performances in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 have fueled this rise.

Abrar took 2 wickets for just 13 runs against UAE in a dominant display. Though he had a costly outing against India with figures of 1/42, he bounced back. His brilliant 1/8 against Sri Lanka helped Pakistan win and stay in the tournament.

Reaching the top spot will be tough. India’s Varun Chakaravarthy, the current No.1, gained 14 more rating points. He bowled economically against Pakistan with 0/25, despite not taking a wicket. His consistency in UAE conditions keeps him ahead in the rankings.

Other players also made progress. Pakistan’s Haris Rauf rose nine places to reach 28th in the bowling rankings. India’s Hardik Pandya climbed six spots to 60th. In batting, Sahibzada Farhan jumped 31 places to 24th after scoring 58 off 45 balls against Sri Lanka.

Hussain Talat also rose in the rankings after guiding Pakistan to a win. He made a massive leap of 1474 spots to become joint 234th in T20I batting. Meanwhile, Faheem Ashraf moved up 12 places to become joint 39th in the all-rounder rankings.
