RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan. The warrant relates to a protest case from November 26, 2025.

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah conducted the hearing. Aleema Khan did not appear despite an earlier bailable warrant issued for her. She was due to be indicted in the case registered at Sadiqabad Police Station but failed to attend.

Her lawyer requested exemption from appearing in court, but the plea was rejected. The court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant and adjourned the hearing until the next day.

The case involves clashes between PTI supporters and security forces during a banned public gathering and lockdown on November 26.

Separately, Barrister Ali Zafar confirmed that Imran Khan has instructed Aleema Khan and KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to avoid making further public statements. Imran Khan reportedly expressed disappointment over recent remarks that were harming the party’s image.

Ali Zafar also announced a planned meeting between Imran Khan and Gandapur, clarifying there is no discussion about the chief minister’s removal.

Additionally, Imran Khan has appointed a four-member committee to act on his behalf if he is placed in solitary confinement. The committee will have authority to file cases and make decisions during such a time.
