Terrorism can only be defeated through national unity, says Army Chief

Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Asim Munir emphasized that the war against terrorism can only be won through the united efforts of the entire nation.

He was addressing the participants of the National Workshop for Balochistan at GHQ, which included individuals from various walks of life. The workshop aimed to raise awareness among future leaders about national and provincial matters.

General Asim Munir highlighted the government’s continuous focus on the social and economic development of Balochistan, noting that the benefits of several developmental projects are now reaching the public. He also praised the role of civil society in raising awareness among Baloch youth.

The Army Chief further stated that terrorism, backed by foreign elements, remains the biggest obstacle in Balochistan. However, he assured that Pakistan’s armed forces and institutions, with the support of the people, will thwart these malicious efforts.

He concluded by reiterating Pakistan’s desire for peace, but emphasized that no compromise will be made on the country’s sovereignty.
