Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship: Awais Munir defeats India’s Pushpender Singh

Colombo: Pakistan’s top cues — defending champion Awais Munir, former world champion Mohammad Asif, and former world number 2 Mohammad Sajjad — have advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship in Colombo.
On day two of the tournament, Awais Munir secured his third straight win by beating India’s Pushpender Singh 4-2. Mohammad Asif cruised past Oman’s Abdullah Raisi with a 4-0 victory but narrowly lost 4-3 to Sri Lanka’s Arshath Mohammad Thaha. Despite the defeat, Asif qualified for the knockout stage based on frame points.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Sajjad dominated Sri Lanka’s Mohammad Musharraf with a clean 4-0 win to book his spot in the next round.
