Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam surprised fans when he got out for zero in the first match of the tri-nation T20 series against Zimbabwe, a moment where Babar Azam breaks unwanted record by moving past Shahid Afridi in the list of most ducks for Pakistan.

The match took place on Tuesday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where Babar Azam was dismissed without scoring. This unlucky moment pushed him ahead of former captain Shahid Afridi, who previously held the second-most ducks for Pakistan in T20 Internationals.

With this latest zero, the 31-year-old batter has now been dismissed nine times without scoring in T20 International cricket. This is considered a disliked or “unwanted” record for any top-order batter.

In the overall list of Pakistani players with the most ducks in T20Is, Saeem Ayub and Umar Akmal remain at the top. Both have been out for zero ten times, keeping them jointly in first place.
