Bahrain Joins Gaza Peace Board Following U.S. Invitation

Bahrain has accepted the United States’ invitation to join the Gaza Peace Board, following the lead of the United Arab Emirates. According to Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa approved the country’s participation in the board, which aims to support peace and stability in Gaza. This decision highlights Bahrain joins Gaza Peace Board as a commitment to implementing U.S.-led initiatives for regional cooperation.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this step reflects the kingdom’s support for the full implementation of President Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza, which is considered crucial for protecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The ministry added that they hope the Peace Board will achieve its objectives, including promoting cooperation, supporting stability, and fostering growth and prosperity for all involved. This initiative is part of wider international efforts to bring structured support to Gaza.

According to international news agencies, the U.S. has invited several global leaders to join the board, which requires a membership fee of $1 billion for permanent seats. The board’s charter limits membership terms to a maximum of three years, renewable with the chairman’s approval. Although the board was initially focused on Gaza’s reconstruction, its mandate is not strictly limited to the region.

Earlier, the UAE also accepted the U.S. invitation to join the board. The United States has additionally invited Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to participate. With this step, Bahrain joins Gaza Peace Board, signaling its active role in regional peace efforts and international collaboration.
