The Election Commission of Pakistan’s Balochistan chapter has announced the results of the local government by-elections held across 25 districts in the province, which saw a competitive contest for 50 general wards.

A total of 167 candidates vied for the available seats in these districts, with independent candidates making a notable impact. According to the preliminary results, independent candidates emerged as the frontrunners, securing 23 seats across the region.

In addition to the success of independent candidates, several political parties also recorded victories in various districts. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) claimed seven seats, while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured five. The Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) followed closely with four seats.

Other significant results include three seats won by the National Party and two each by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Awami National Party (ANP), and Balochistan National Party-Awami (BNP-Awami). Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP) and Haq Do Tehreek also managed to secure one seat each.
