Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has said that discussions with the government regarding concerns over the federal budget are continuing, indicating ongoing consultations between coalition partners ahead of the budget’s approval process.

The remarks came after a meeting between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and a two-member government delegation led by Ishaq Dar at Bilawal’s chamber in Islamabad. During the meeting, the deputy prime minister briefed the PPP chairman on various budgetary figures and key financial aspects of the government’s fiscal plan.

Speaking after the meeting, Bilawal said that dialogue on the party’s reservations regarding the budget remains underway. He confirmed that he had held discussions with Ishaq Dar and added that further consultations would take place in the coming days. His comments suggest that efforts are being made to address concerns and build consensus among coalition partners on budget-related matters.

Separately, Faisal Karim Kundi and Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha also met with the PPP chairman to discuss issues concerning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the meeting, Bilawal expressed concern over the wheat shortage crisis in the province and directed the governor to play an active role in addressing the issue. He stressed the importance of safeguarding the interests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and called for cooperation among all political parties to resolve challenges facing the province.

The discussions reflected the PPP’s focus on both federal budget matters and provincial concerns. As consultations continue, political stakeholders are expected to engage further to reach agreements on fiscal priorities and address key public issues before the budget process moves forward.
