Post-mortem reveals extent of injuries in Hania Adil shooting case

The post-mortem report of nine-year-old Hania Adil, who was killed in a shooting incident involving a CCD official in Chakwal, has revealed the severity of the injuries that led to her death. The report, obtained by local media, states that the child died after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds that caused extensive internal damage and severe blood loss.

According to the medical findings, Hania suffered a total of 11 gunshot-related injuries and wounds on different parts of her body. Doctors concluded that the primary cause of death was hypovolemic shock, a life-threatening condition resulting from massive blood loss. The report further stated that the injuries were so severe that they would ordinarily cause death within a short period.

Medical experts noted that excessive bleeding and trauma caused Hania’s heart and lungs to stop functioning. A metallic bullet fragment was recovered from her body during the examination and handed over to police as evidence for further investigation.

The report detailed significant injuries to several vital organs. Gunfire caused a severe fracture in her right thigh bone, while her right lung was critically damaged, leading to blood accumulation in the chest cavity. Her liver, as well as both the large and small intestines, also sustained serious injuries.

Doctors documented deep entry and exit wounds on the child’s right chest, abdomen, thigh, and left elbow. The report classified all injuries as ante-mortem, meaning they were inflicted before death occurred.

According to the medico-legal report, approximately six to eight hours elapsed between Hania’s death and the post-mortem examination. Hospital authorities also preserved and sealed key evidence, including the victim’s blood-stained clothing and X-ray records, before handing them over to investigators.

The findings are expected to play a crucial role in the ongoing investigation into the tragic incident, which has drawn widespread public attention and calls for accountability.
