Bus Crash Near Chakwal Kills Five, Injures Many

At least five people died when a passenger bus fell into a ravine near Chakwal early Wednesday. The tragic accident happened in the pre-dawn hours. Moreover, several passengers suffered serious injuries during the crash.

According to officials, the accident occurred in the Dhok Pathan area of Chakwal district. The bus was traveling from Rawalpindi to Karachi at the time. Meanwhile, the vehicle lost control while taking a sharp turn.

As a result, the bus plunged into a deep gorge. Five passengers died on the spot due to the severe impact. In addition, 27 others were injured, including seven women.

Soon after the crash, police and rescue teams reached the scene. They quickly started relief operations despite the difficult terrain. Subsequently, rescuers shifted the injured and deceased to THQ Hospital Talagang.

According to rescue sources, several injured passengers remain in critical condition. Therefore, authorities fear the death toll may rise further. Meanwhile, officials have started an investigation into the cause of the accident.
