China Develops Mosquito-Sized Drone for Military and Medical Use

Chinese scientists have created an extremely small drone, almost the size of a mosquito, which can be used in military operations and other special missions.
This tiny drone was developed at the Robotics Laboratory of China’s National University of Defense Technology. According to a report aired on CCTV, researcher Liang Hexiang explained that the drone can help in gathering information and performing special tasks on the battlefield.
The drone is designed with two small wings and thin legs, resembling a mosquito. It can be controlled using a smartphone.
Experts say fitting sensors, power units, and control circuits into such a small drone was a major technical challenge, but its successful creation is a big achievement.
Besides military use, this drone can also be helpful in medical fields, such as collecting data from inside the human body or assisting in delicate surgeries.
