Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that following the success in “Operation Haq,” the demand for Pakistan’s fighter jets has increased, with several countries showing interest in acquiring them. This boost in demand is expected to benefit the national economy and showcase Pakistan’s growing defense capabilities.
The federal cabinet met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. During the meeting, the Ministry of Finance briefed the cabinet on the new designs of banknotes issued by the State Bank of Pakistan. A special cabinet committee was formed to review and finalize the new currency note designs.
The briefing explained that the new banknotes are being designed according to modern standards. International experts have been hired to ensure the designs meet global benchmarks in security and aesthetics. The cabinet also discussed the draft Private Hajj Policy 2027-2030, referring it to the Hajj Policy Committee for further review.

Additionally, the cabinet endorsed the decisions of the Cabinet Committee on Energy from its December 24, 2025 meeting, and approved the resolutions of the Economic Coordination Committee from December 23, 2025. Prime Minister Sharif highlighted that Pakistan’s economy has made significant progress in a short period, achieving stability, and that future initiatives, including the memorandum of understanding with World Liberty Financial, will further strengthen economic growth.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister emphasized that following “Operation Haq,” the interest in Pakistan’s fighter jets continues to grow internationally. He noted that alongside strengthening defense, Pakistan is committed to economic development, ensuring that these achievements benefit both national security and the economy.
