ISLAMABAD – Flight operations at Islamabad International Airport resumed after a temporary suspension caused by Pakistan Day flypast exercises. Authorities lifted the restrictions once the drills concluded.

The suspension also affected Karachi and Lahore airports earlier in the day. However, normal operations returned after the scheduled exercises finished.

Airport authorities confirmed that flights at Islamabad airport are operating normally again. The Notice to Airmen issued earlier for the suspension was also cancelled.

During the suspension, several flights faced disruptions and delays. Authorities diverted some flights halted at Karachi airport to Islamabad as part of operational adjustments.

the Pakistan Airports Authority issued a NOTAM informing airlines about the temporary restrictions. The advisory scheduled the drills from 10am to 1:15pm.

with the exercise completed, authorities have restored normal flight schedules. Airports confirmed that take-offs and landings are operating as usual across affected airports.
