French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu Resigns
Paris: French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has officially resigned from his position, and President Emmanuel Macron has accepted his resignation, according to an official statement from the Elysée Palace.

International media reported that Lecornu faced widespread criticism over his largely unchanged cabinet lineup, which ultimately led to his decision to step down.

Lecornu, appointed just last month by President Macron, became France’s fifth prime minister in less than two years, reflecting the ongoing political instability in the country.

The resignation marks another significant change in the French political landscape amid growing discontent and public scrutiny over government decisions.

Meanwhile, in a related note from the region, Nepal’s Prime Minister and President also resigned last month following violent protests over the government’s decision to ban social media platforms. Demonstrations turned chaotic as protesters stormed government buildings and residences, forcing both leaders to step down.
