Google has rolled out the biggest update yet to its artificial intelligence platform Gemini, introducing a new feature called “Personal Intelligence,” which is being described as a major breakthrough in AI technology.

According to Google, this update is designed to transform Gemini into a true personal AI assistant capable of delivering more contextual and personalized responses.

With the Personal Intelligence feature, Gemini can access user data across multiple Google apps, including Google Search, Gmail, Google Photos, and YouTube, allowing it to better understand individual preferences and needs.

While Gemini was already integrated into these apps, the new update enables deeper cross-app analysis, allowing the AI to combine information from different platforms for more accurate and meaningful answers.

For instance, if a user asks about a car-related issue, Gemini can identify the car model from purchase history, assess its condition using photos, and suggest solutions through relevant YouTube content.

Google says this advancement moves Gemini beyond basic AI interactions and closer to becoming a practical digital assistant for everyday life.

The Personal Intelligence feature is initially launching in the United States for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers, with plans to expand to other regions and free users in the coming months.
