Government Increases Prices of Petroleum Products

The government of Pakistan has increased the prices of petroleum products. This decision was announced in Islamabad and is effective immediately, according to official sources.
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification confirming the price hike. The new prices apply to both petrol and diesel, the two most commonly used fuels in the country.

As per the notification, the price of diesel has gone up by Rs 4.04 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs 276.81 per litre.
Similarly, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 4.07 per litre, making the new petrol price Rs 268.68 per litre.

This increase in the prices of petroleum products is expected to raise the cost of transport and essential goods, which may lead to more financial pressure on the general public.
