Greenland Responds to Trump’s Threats, Rejects U.S. Annexation Plans

After U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent threats to take control of Greenland, the country’s Prime Minister has spoken out firmly. The Prime Minister said that enough is enough and that Greenland will no longer tolerate external pressure. Greenland responds to Trump’s threats with a strong message that negotiations must happen with respect and proper channels.
Prime Minister of Greenland, Mette Frederiksen, emphasized that the idea of annexation by the United States is unacceptable to her country. She said that Greenland is open to discussions but only through diplomatic and respectful means, reflecting the nation’s right to make its own decisions.
Denmark’s Prime Minister also demanded that President Trump stop threatening Greenland. She stressed that sovereignty and international agreements must be respected, and no country can unilaterally claim another nation’s territory.

France expressed solidarity with Greenland and its people. A spokesperson for the French Foreign Ministry said that borders cannot be changed by force, and it is up to Greenland and the Danish people to decide the future of the island.
