The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially launched the online registration process for Hajj 2027 pilgrims, allowing prospective applicants to register through the ministry’s official website.

According to a spokesperson for the ministry, the initial phase of registration does not require a passport, making it easier for a larger number of applicants to complete the first step of the process. However, officials clarified that a valid passport will be mandatory at the booking stage. The passport must remain valid until at least 16 November 2027 to be eligible for final confirmation of Hajj arrangements.

The ministry further explained that only those individuals who successfully complete registration will be considered for Hajj 2027 bookings. The selection and booking process will be conducted on a “first come, first served” basis, and will remain open until the allocated national quota is fully exhausted.

Officials stated that detailed information regarding the Hajj package, including final costs, accommodation, travel arrangements, and other terms and conditions, will be announced separately under the upcoming Hajj Policy 2027. The policy is expected to provide comprehensive guidelines for pilgrims to ensure transparency and ease in the application process.

The ministry has urged applicants to carefully follow official instructions and avoid relying on unofficial sources or agents. It also emphasized that the online system is designed to streamline registration and reduce delays, ensuring fair access for all eligible citizens.

Hajj arrangements in Pakistan are typically managed under a government quota system alongside private tour operators. Authorities said improvements in the digital registration system aim to enhance efficiency and provide better facilitation to pilgrims planning their spiritual journey.

Officials also reiterated that updates regarding quotas, training sessions, and medical requirements will be shared in due course as part of the final policy framework.
