US vice president outlines conditions for improved ties with Iran

US Vice President JD Vance has outlined the conditions under which Washington would seek to establish a new chapter in its relationship with Iran, emphasizing diplomacy, regional stability and the abandonment of Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
Speaking about the future of US-Iran relations, Vance said the United States was committed to pursuing diplomatic efforts aimed at bringing long-term stability to the Middle East. He stated that Washington envisioned a future marked by peace, economic growth and prosperity for all countries in the region.
According to the vice president, a significant improvement in relations would depend on Iran’s willingness to stop activities that contribute to regional instability and to permanently move away from its nuclear programme. He said that if Iran’s leadership took those steps, the United States would be prepared to build a new relationship with Tehran.
