Heavy Rain Continues Across Several Regions of Pakistan, Weather Department Issues Alert

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather alert for heavy rainfall across various parts of the country today. Light drizzle is also expected in Karachi by evening.

According to reports, several areas of Lahore—including Johar Town, Faisal Town, Model Town, and surrounding localities—are currently experiencing rain. The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned that the ongoing monsoon spell may continue throughout the week, raising concerns about urban flooding in low-lying areas.

The weather forecast also predicts heavy rain today in Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Nowshera, and Peshawar. Meanwhile, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, and Mansehra could see downpours intense enough to cause flash flooding in streams and rivers.

Authorities have been advised to remain on high alert and prepared for any emergency situations. Citizens are urged to avoid unnecessary travel, stay away from waterlogged areas, and take precautions in flood-prone zones.
