Heavy rain forecast across Pakistan from June 20 to 23

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a major weather forecast, predicting widespread rainfall across the country from June 20 to 23, which is expected to bring relief from the ongoing heatwave.
According to the PMD, monsoon winds are likely to trigger rain and strong winds in eastern Balochistan, southern Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during this period.
From June 21 to 23, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are also expected to receive rain, while parts of Sindh may experience rainfall between June 22 and 23.
The department has warned of potential urban flooding in low-lying areas and flash floods in streams and rivers, urging the public to remain cautious.
