Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar blamed the Afghan Taliban for the failure of recent negotiations, saying that Pakistan has the right to defend itself. In an interview, he stated that failing to act against terrorists proves Afghanistan’s support for them.
Atta Tarar emphasized that Pakistan will respond firmly to any aggression, even in this proxy conflict, and will ensure Afghanistan faces defeat if it challenges Pakistan. He highlighted Pakistan’s strong military position and readiness to defend its borders.

The minister pointed out that in conventional war, Afghanistan cannot match Pakistan. He added that Pakistan has already defeated larger enemies in the past and will deal decisively with the unholy alliances that threaten its security.
Atta Tarar also mentioned that while diplomatic efforts remain a priority, Pakistan will not hesitate to give a strong response if Afghan territory is used against it. The federal minister stressed that Pakistan’s defense forces are prepared to act quickly if needed.

Finally, Atta Tarar reiterated that in conventional war, Afghanistan cannot match Pakistan. He warned that any misuse of Afghan soil for attacks will be met with a strong and decisive response, and Pakistan will take all necessary steps to secure its borders.
