Ishaq Dar Says Pakistan Secures Return Of 11 Citizens

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Pakistan successfully secured the return of 11 Pakistani citizens who were aboard a plane seized by the United States. He stated that the development became possible through diplomatic efforts and international coordination. Moreover, all Pakistani citizens are now on their way back home.

According to Ishaq Dar, Pakistan also helped facilitate the return of 20 Iranian citizens. He explained that the repatriation process for both Pakistani and Iranian nationals was made possible with the cooperation of Singapore. Consequently, authorities managed to arrange the safe return of the affected individuals.

The deputy prime minister said the Pakistani citizens boarded a flight to Islamabad after arriving in Bangkok from Singapore. In addition, arrangements are also being made to assist the Iranian nationals in returning to their country. He noted that the government remained in close contact throughout the process to ensure safe travel.

Ishaq Dar also appreciated the trust shown by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts. He stated that Pakistan would continue cooperating in efforts related to the safe return of Iranian citizens. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of humanitarian and diplomatic coordination in the region.

The foreign minister thanked the prime minister, government, and foreign minister of Singapore for their cooperation and continuous engagement. According to him, Singapore played an important role in resolving the matter through diplomatic coordination. As a result, the development is being viewed as a positive example of international cooperation.

Ishaq Dar also thanked U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio for supporting the return of the 31 Pakistani and Iranian citizens. Analysts believe the successful repatriation reflects effective diplomatic communication among several countries.
