Jet Fuel Prices Surge for Fifth Time in 28 Days, Reaching Record High

Jet fuel prices in the country have increased for the fifth time within 28 days, signaling continued pressure on the aviation sector.

Authorities have raised the price of jet fuel for commercial aircraft by an additional Rs 5 per liter, pushing it to a new record high.

Following the latest increase, the price of jet fuel has reached Rs 476.97 per liter, marking an unprecedented level in the domestic market.

Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan, Per Tola Rate Crosses Rs. 472,000

Since March 1, jet fuel prices have surged dramatically, recording a cumulative increase of Rs 288 per liter in less than a month.

At the beginning of March, the price stood at Rs 188 per liter, highlighting the sharp and rapid rise over a short period.

Industry experts warn that the continuous increase in fuel costs could lead to higher airfares and operational challenges for airlines.
