Karachi exam paper leak 2026

The ongoing examination process for ninth and tenth-grade students in Karachi has been severely undermined as another paper leak incident has surfaced, raising serious concerns over the credibility of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK).

According to sources, the English paper for ninth-grade students was leaked on social media approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination. The leaked material reportedly included not only the question paper but also its complete solved answers, which quickly circulated among students and online groups.

This incident comes despite repeated assurances from the examination board administration regarding strict security measures and improved monitoring systems to prevent paper leaks. However, the recurring breaches have exposed significant gaps in the system.

Earlier, similar incidents were reported during the ongoing examination session. The computer studies paper for ninth grade and the biology paper for tenth grade were also leaked before the scheduled exam time, causing widespread criticism from parents, educators, and students.

Education stakeholders have expressed deep concern over the repeated failures, stating that such leaks not only damage the credibility of the examination board but also unfairly disadvantage students who rely solely on preparation and merit. Many have called for a transparent investigation into the matter and strict action against those responsible for the leaks.

The situation has also sparked debate over the role of social media in facilitating the rapid spread of leaked examination content, making it increasingly difficult for authorities to control the situation once papers are compromised.

Authorities are expected to review security protocols and may consider stricter monitoring and digital reforms to prevent further breaches. Meanwhile, students and parents continue to demand accountability and immediate corrective action to restore trust in the examination system.
